Responding to a quote

Accepting or declining a quote that JATT has emailed to you.

When JATT prepares a quote for you, it arrives by email, titled “[quote number] Freight Quote for Your Review”. You respond from the email. You don’t need to sign in, and quotes are not listed in the portal.

The email has Accept Quote and Decline Quote buttons. You can also reply to the email with questions. Either button opens a quote page showing:

  • Quote Reference, Customer and Expires (the date the quote is valid until).
  • Origin and Destination. --- means it wasn’t recorded on the quote.
  • The price. If the quote covers several service levels, there is one row per level with Base, Fuel, Surcharges and Total. Otherwise there is a single total in AUD, excluding GST.

The buttons in the email work for 30 days. After that the page says “This link has expired or is invalid.”, and you should ask JATT to send the quote again.

  1. If the quote has several service levels, choose one. None is selected for you, and the page won’t accept the quote until you choose. The level you pick sets the price you’re agreeing to.
  2. Click Accept Quote.

The page confirms “Thank you for accepting this quote. Our team will be in touch shortly.” You receive a confirmation email, and JATT is notified.

Accepting does not book the job by itself. JATT turns the accepted quote into a booking and contacts you. The booking then appears on your Jobs list.

  1. Click Decline Quote, in the email or on the quote page. It opens the decline form.
  2. Optionally, say why.
  3. Click Confirm Decline. Back returns to the quote without declining.

You receive an email confirming your response, and JATT is notified, including your reason.

A quote can be answered once. Opening the link again shows “This quote has already been responded to.” and the outcome. To change your mind, contact JATT.
