Quote templates
Save reusable route + cargo templates to speed up repeat quoting; dynamic-rate templates price fresh, fixed-rate templates replay a stored price.
Quote Templates are reusable starting points for common quotes — a saved lane and cargo you drop into a new quote instead of re-keying it. Under Quotes → Quote Templates.
What a template stores
Section titled “What a template stores”A template captures the inputs to a quote, not a fixed price:
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | Name, description |
| Customer | A specific customer — or leave blank to make it available to all customers |
| Route | Origin and destination (suburb / state / postcode) |
| Cargo | Freight type (per kg / per pallet / FTL lane), service level, weight, dimensions, quantity, packaging, dangerous goods |
| Options | Fuel levy, origin/destination tailgate, special instructions |
For dynamic-rate templates, pricing is recalculated against current rate cards each time, so the template stays correct even when rates change. Fixed-rate templates (shown with a lock icon) store and replay their price — review them when rates change.
