Quote templates

Quote Templates are reusable starting points for common quotes — a saved lane + cargo you can drop into a new quote instead of re-keying it. Under Quotes → Quote Templates.

What a template stores

• Name and description.
• Customer — a specific customer, or leave it blank to make the template available to all customers.
• Route — origin and destination (suburb / state / postcode).
• Cargo — freight type (per kg / per pallet / FTL lane), service level, weight, dimensions, quantity, packaging, and any DG.
• Options — fuel levy, origin/destination tailgate, special instructions.

A Dynamic Rate template stores the inputs, not a price — pricing is calculated fresh each time against current rate cards. A Fixed Rate template (lock icon) stores and replays its price, so review it when rates change.

Create a template

Templates are created from Create Quote: fill in the quote, then click Save as Template (shown in the full form, not the Quick quote view).

Edit, deactivate, reactivate

Open a template from the list (the Status filter shows Active ones by default) and use Edit, Deactivate or Activate. There is no delete — deactivate a template to retire it.

An inactive template cannot start a quote. Its Create Quote button is replaced by an Inactive label, and an old link or bookmark to it opens a blank form with a message saying the template is inactive. Reactivate it first if you need it.

Use a template

Open an active template and click Create Quote to open the form pre-filled with its route, cargo and options — then adjust anything and let it price. See Create a quote.
