Fleet
What the Fleet menu holds, which pages to rely on, and which are not finished.
Sidebar → Fleet. The vehicles the business runs, and the combinations it sells and prices.
| Page | Use it for | State |
|---|---|---|
| Fleet Overview | Adding and editing vehicles; a count of the fleet by status and type, and recent maintenance. | Working |
| Transport Configurations | Building the vehicle combinations — rigid, semi, B-double, road train — that rate cards price and dispatch builds units from. | Working |
| Fleet Types & Capacities | A reference table of standard vehicle sizes. | ⚠️ Not reliable — see below |
| Fleet KMs | The latest odometer recorded for each vehicle, and kilometres since its last recorded service. | Working, read-only — see below |
| Fuel | Recording refuels — litres, cost, odometer, fuel supplier and fuel card — and fuel efficiency per vehicle. | Working, except Edit and Export — see below |
Pages that are not finished
Section titled “Pages that are not finished”Fleet Types & Capacities. Its per-type counts only recognise a fixed list of type codes that the fleet’s vehicles do not use, so most counts read 0 whatever you own. Its utilisation figure is a fixed placeholder, and Export does nothing. Use Fleet Overview for counts by type.
Fleet KMs. Shows the most recent odometer reading recorded for each vehicle — from a refuel on the Fuel page or a workshop record (services, repairs and tyres, including those imported from iDrv4) — with its date and where it came from. KMs Since Service is worked out only when the vehicle has a service on record and a reading taken on or after it. A vehicle with no recorded reading shows —. Readings cannot be entered on this page: record the odometer when adding a fuel record.
Fuel. Add Fuel Record saves the refuel: vehicle, date, odometer, litres, total cost, Fuel Supplier (for example BP, Shell, Ampol) and Fuel Card. If something is wrong, the form says what and keeps what you typed.
- Fuel Card is a name for the card, not its number — for example Motorpass 4821 or Shell card – Truck 12. Anything that looks like a card number (8 or more digits in a row) is refused.
- Edit and Export on this page still do nothing. To correct a record, ask an administrator.
Where the trucks for dispatch come from
Section titled “Where the trucks for dispatch come from”Dispatch does not use these pages directly. A dispatch unit is a vehicle plus a crew, built on the Dispatch Board — see Units and rebuilds. The Build Unit drawer can start from a transport configuration as a guide.
