Creating a booking

Entering a job in the Customer Portal, saving it as a draft, and submitting it to JATT.

Create Booking in the sidebar opens the booking form. This is the same form JATT’s operations team uses, with your company already filled in.

  1. You save it → it is a Draft. Only you are working on it.
  2. You submit it → it becomes Pending. JATT’s operations team takes it from here.
  3. JATT confirms and schedules it → Confirmed, then Allocated, In Transit and Delivered.

You can change a booking while it is a Draft or Pending. Once JATT confirms it, it is locked. See Jobs for editing and submitting.

Pick one: LTL, Hourly Hire, FTL (the default), or Towhaul.

  • Pickup and Delivery (the default) — a normal A-to-B job.
  • Pickup or Delivery Only — one end of the job.
  • Local Start — the job starts at your site, and the driver adds the stops as they go.

On the Load tab, enter what is being moved: packaging, quantity, dimensions and weight. For Hourly Hire, the hire details go here instead.

Whole-vehicle jobs (FTL, Hourly Hire, Towhaul) may not need any items.

Each address has its own tab. Start typing an address and pick it from the suggestions. Picking a suggestion is what lets JATT place the stop on a map, so it matters more than typing the address exactly.

  • Add Pickup and Add Delivery add more stops.
  • Each stop has its own schedule, requirements, and Additional Instructions.

Drag files onto Documentation, or click browse. It accepts PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC and DOCX, up to 10 MB each. The files upload when you save.

5. Pricing Details shows the price worked out from your rates. Use Recalculate after you change the load or the route.

Click Save Booking. The booking is saved as a Draft, and you can then:

  • Create New Booking to start another, or
  • Go to Booking List to open Jobs, where you submit it.

If something is missing or wrong, the form lists the problems instead of saving.

A draft is not sent to JATT. Remember to submit it from the Jobs list.
