Customers
Manage customer accounts — add customers, edit details, manage delivery sites, grant customer-portal access, and archive.
Customer Management is where you create and maintain customer accounts. It’s under
Administration → Customers (/operations/customers). Customers are what bookings, quotes,
and rate cards attach to — a rate card only prices for a customer once it’s assigned to
them.
The customer list
Section titled “The customer list”The list shows every account, with:
- a Search box (company / contact), and a status filter — All, Active, or Inactive;
- columns:
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Company | The customer’s business name |
| Contact | Primary contact |
| Location | Their main address |
| Status | Active or Inactive |
| Portal | Whether they have a Customer-Portal login |
| Bookings | Booking count |
| Revenue | Total revenue |
| Created | When the account was added |
| Actions | View / Edit / Portal access / Archive (or Reactivate) |
Add a customer
Section titled “Add a customer”- Click Add Customer (top-right).
- Fill in the company and contact details.
- Save.
The customer appears in the list and can then be assigned rate cards.
Open & edit a customer
Section titled “Open & edit a customer”Use the row actions to view a customer (details, sites, bookings and revenue) or Edit their company/contact details.
Sites (delivery addresses)
Section titled “Sites (delivery addresses)”A customer can have multiple sites — the pickup/delivery addresses used on their bookings. From the customer you can:
- Add a site,
- Edit a site,
- Set default — the default pre-fills on new bookings, and
- Delete a site.
Portal access
Section titled “Portal access”The Portal column shows whether the customer has a login to the Customer Portal (where they can request quotes and track shipments).
- Grant access to create their login.
- Revoke to remove it.
Archive & reactivate
Section titled “Archive & reactivate”Retiring a customer is an archive, not a hard delete:
- Archive deactivates the account — it drops out of the default (Active) list but is kept for history.
- To bring it back, set the status filter to Inactive, find the customer, and Reactivate.
Archive rather than delete whenever you want to preserve the customer’s booking and revenue history.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Rate cards & pricing — assign pricing to a customer.
- Rate card settings — per-customer global fallback.
