Compliance defects
Faults found by checks — by truck and worst first — and moving each one through acknowledged, in repair, deferred and closed.
Compliance → Defects (/operations/compliance/defects) shows what checks found wrong and which trucks are carrying it.
Summary and By unit
Section titled “Summary and By unit”The tiles count Units blocked, Critical open and Open defects.
By unit lists each truck with open faults, worst first, with counts of Critical, Major and Minor. Its status is either Should not be dispatched or Serviceable.
A unit should not be dispatched while it has a critical defect that is open, acknowledged or in repair. The driver app refuses to start a run on it.
The defect list
Section titled “The defect list”Narrow the list with Open only, Any severity and Any status. Each row shows the severity, the fault, the unit, when it was raised and its status.
Move a defect along
Section titled “Move a defect along”The row buttons are:
- Ack: someone has seen it.
- Repair: it is being fixed.
- Close: it is fixed.
- Reopen: shown on a closed defect.
Each opens a short dialog with a Note (“What was done about it?”). Click Confirm.
- Closing a critical defect needs a note. Onyx refuses it without one.
- A defect is never deleted. It is closed or deferred, and its history stays.
- Onyx refuses a move to the status a defect already has. That usually means someone else just updated it, so refresh.
The statuses are open, acknowledged, in_repair, deferred and closed. A deferred critical defect no longer grounds the truck: someone has looked at it and judged it can wait.
