Pallet register
Every hire account and where its balance stands.
The register lists every pallet account you hold and what each one is worth right now.
Reading a balance
Section titled “Reading a balance”Balances are signed from your point of view:
- +8 owed to us — the counterparty has 8 more of your pallets than you have of theirs.
- −8 owed by us — you owe them 8.
- square — nothing either way.
The figure is calculated from the account’s dockets every time you load the page. It is never stored, so it cannot go stale — and if it looks wrong, the answer is always in the dockets.
Creating an account
Section titled “Creating an account”An account is one counterparty and one brand. CHEP pallets can never be transferred into a Loscam account and vice versa, so Loscam and CHEP for the same company are two accounts.

| Depot | Leave blank for a network-wide account. |
Add the daily hire rate
Section titled “Add the daily hire rate”There is a daily hire rate on each account, taken from your hire agreement. It is optional, but without it the Declarations page can tell you how many pallets are at risk and not what they are costing — the money figures show as a dash rather than a misleading zero.
It is the single most useful field to fill in on this page.
